Dhanwant grew up on a farm in Punjab and studied locally before moving to England in 1955 to explore life abroad.

He faced challenges adapting to housing, language, and work but became self-reliant, buying a home and working 31 years at Avon Rubber Company. He values hard work, learning multiple skills, and maintaining his Indian roots through cooking and traditions.

Dhanwant also gives back to Punjab, supporting schools, healthcare, and infrastructure. He emphasises gratitude, health, and lifelong self-improvement while balancing British life with Punjabi identity
