Sheikh Rafi Ahmad

Dr. Sheikh, 82, was born in what is now Bangladesh and spent his early life moving between villages due to his father’s medical postings.

Despite a love for literature, he studied physics to support his family and later earned a scholarship to Oxford. His experiences in the UK were challenging yet adventurous, fostering both personal growth and community involvement.

Dr. Sheikh dedicated much of his life to serving the Bangladeshi community in the UK, promoting interfaith understanding and cultural unity. His reflections emphasise respect, compassion, and a vision of humanity grounded in care, love, and ethical values.
