Gurnam Kaur
Gurnam Kaur shares the story of her father-in-law, Joginder Singh, who migrated from India to the UK as a child and became a respected GP.
He was known for his friendly personality, dedication to the community, and integration of people across different backgrounds. Beyond his medical practice, he served as a magistrate and played a significant role in supporting the Sikh community, including fundraising for the Gurdwara and community centre.
Gurnam emphasises his warmth, humour, and the importance of preserving the history of contributions made by early immigrants like him.
