Sekhar, born in a small town in Andhra Pradesh, South India, began his professional journey in nursing, working first in India and then for 13 years in the Middle East.

In 2003, he moved to the UK with his wife and daughter after being recruited by Yeovil Hospital. Appreciating the welcoming environment, professional growth, and equal treatment in the NHS, he settled in Yeovil and became actively involved in community life, forming church and badminton groups.

While fully embracing British culture, Sekhar maintains strong ties to Indian traditions, sharing them with his children through regular visits to India. His long-term goal is to visit his homeland after retirement while continuing to support the multicultural community he helped grow in Yeovil.
